In addition to working with Barnett Forensic Services, Steve has been with Vincennes University since 1986. In 1997, he became Chairman and Professor of the Law Enforcement Program at the university. Prior to teaching at Vincennes, Steve was a Training Director in charge of the Traffic Course Program and Emergency Vehicle Operations at the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Academy. Steve is also a six-year veteran of the Princeton Police Department.
Steve's education consists of an AS from Vincennes University, as well as a BS and MS from the University of Evansville. In 1984 he received his certification in Accident Reconstruction from Northwestern University Traffic Institute. He has successfully completed numerous courses in Advanced Accident Reconstruction at Northwestern University and The Institute of Police Technology & Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida. Steve holds several certifications and honors. In 1993, he wrote a textbook entitled Introduction to Traffic Investigation and Enforcement. Several colleges and police academies have adopted his text in their traffic related course work.
Steve is also certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR). |
