GARY A. BARNETT B.S.

CRASH RECONSTRUCTIONIST

Gary A. Barnett is a twenty-year veteran of the Indianapolis Police Department, retiring in 1990. His twenty-year career included: 1970-75 Road Patrol Officer; 1975-81 Office of the Chief, Planning & Research Branch; 1981-87 Traffic Accident Investigator; 1987-90 Office of the Chief, Arson/Fire Investigation Unit.

During this period, Gary received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in 1981. He was also responsible for the development of new programs for the police department and was certified as an instructor by the State of Indiana to teach various subjects in law enforcement schools within the state. Gary continues to lecture at the Indianapolis Police Department Training Academy and Vincennes University.

Gary received his certification in Fire Origin & Cause Investigation (CFEI) and as Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII) from the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) after attending courses at Eastern Kentucky University in 1990. In 1991, he completed motor vehicle accident reconstruction courses and received his certification from the Institute of Police Technology & Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida.

In 1998 Gary received his certification as a Certified Professional Insurance Investigator, CPII, from the IRG Investigations Training Institute. Also in 1998 Gary received his designations from the American College of Forensic Examiners as a Diplomate of American Board of Forensic Engineering and Technology, DABFET, and as a Diplomate of the American Board of Law Enforcement Experts, DABLEE.


MARVIN A. NEEDLER, Ph.D., P.E.
SYSTEMS SCIENCE/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

For over twenty-five years, Dr. Marvin Needler has consulted as a forensic investigator and an expert witness in the fields of industrial controls, electrical systems, fire analysis, accident reconstruction, and failure analysis. During that time, he has held a full-time teaching position in the Purdue School of Engineering & Technology with the title of Professor of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology. He is currently the Chairman of the School of Electrical Engineering Technology.


ROBERT WALSON, Ph. D.
METALLURGICAL ENGINEER

Dr. Walson is a metallurgical engineer, primarily consulting in the mechanical or structural failures of automobiles, trucks, agricultural equipment, glass consumer porducts, laboratory fire analysis, medical device failure, fire alarm failures, and engine malfunction analysis.

Dr. Walson is currently or has been employed as Adjunct Professors (part time) both at Butler University in the Chemistry Department and with Purdue University in the Mechanical Engineering Department at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

Dr. Walson has experience in agricultural equipment design and materials, industrial equipment design and materials, and consumer product design and materials at the Corporate Staff of the John Deere Company. He also has experience in engine design and materials as Corporate Staff of the John Deer Company. He also has experience in engine design and materials at the Research and Quality Departments of Cummins Engine Company.


ERDOGAN SENER M.S.C.E., P.E.
CIVIL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

Mr. Sener is currently a Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Construction Technology, Purdue School of Engineering & Technology. Mr. Sener's forensic expertise is in the area of strucural engineering.


MARK WALSH M.S.C.E., P.E.
CIVIL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

Mr. Walsh is a registered professional engineer in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. He is also a registered structrual engineer in Illinois and Arizona. Mr. Walsh's forensic expertise is in the area of structural engineering.

CERTIFIED FIRE/EXPLOSION INVESTIGATOR
CRASH RECONSTRUCTIONIST

Jason began his career as a fire investigator trainee on a part-time basis with Barnett Forensic Services in 1992. In 1994, he joined the firm as a full-time fire investigator after receiving his certification as a Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) from the National Fire, Arson and Explosion Investigation Training School in Chicago, Illinois.

Jason has also received his certification in accident reconstruction after completing his training with the Institute of Police Technology & Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida in 1996.

Jason obtained his Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University in 2002.


ARIC STEVEN FRAZIER
CRASH RECONSTRUCTIONIST

In addition to working with Barnett Forensic Services, Steve has been with Vincennes University since 1986. In 1997, he became Chairman and Professor of the Law Enforcement Program at the university. Prior to teaching at Vincennes, Steve was a Training Director in charge of the Traffic Course Program and Emergency Vehicle Operations at the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Academy. Steve is also a six-year veteran of the Princeton Police Department.

Steve's education consists of an AS from Vincennes University, as well as a BS and MS from the University of Evansville. In 1984 he received his certification in Accident Reconstruction from Northwestern University Traffic Institute. He has successfully completed numerous courses in Advanced Accident Reconstruction at Northwestern University and The Institute of Police Technology & Management (IPTM) at the University of North Florida.

Steve holds several certifications and honors. In 1993, he wrote a textbook entitled Introduction to Traffic Investigation and Enforcement. Several colleges and police academies have adopted his text in their traffic related course work. Recently, the third edition was written and is currently in distribution.

Steve is also certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstructionist (ACTAR).

STEVE BUCK CFI/CFEI/CFII/CVFI
CERTIFIED FIRE/EXPLOSION INVESTIGATOR

Steve joined Barnett Forensic Services in 2000. He has also been a member of the Anderson Fire Department since 1996. He has been a member of the Anderson Fire Department Arson Investigation Team since 1997. Steve is currently pursing his advanced education in the field of Fire Science.

In 2001, Steve received his certification as a Certified Fire Investigator (CFEI) & Certified Fire Investigation Instruction (CFII) from the National association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) after attending the training school at Eastern Kentucky University.


KEITH HALL MS E.E. P.E.

Keith joined Barnett Forensic Services in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1979 and his Master of Engineering in 1981 from the University of Louisville.

Keith is a registered Professional Engineer and is a Licensed Master Electrician. He also has various degress of training in vibration analysis, distributed control system maintenance and design.

Traci joined Barnett Forensic Services in 1998. She has two and a half years of prior experience working for a major insurance company. Traci has been a member and served on the board of The Central Indiana Claims Association (CICA).
